TOUR DETAILS:
We ride many miles of the beautiful California Central Coast & Wine Country

WHERE  do we start & end the tour?
We will start in a lovely accommodation called Pacific Gardens Inn on the Monterey Peninsula;  Your tour includes 2 nights stay; Saturday and Sunday.  Saturday is a travel day so we will check in & hope everyone will be there by happy hour. There are regular buses from the train depot and airport to the Monterey Aquarium,and in 5 minutes we can pick you up there with our shuttle.  Sunday a variety of day rides will be available, or visit Cannery Row & the Aquarium; or do both! We will reconvene for our group dinner Sunday evening & head out Monday morning for Big Sur...

The final tour day will be from Pismo Beach to Solvang, but the next morning check out early & enjoy a variety of day rides around the Santa Ynez valley before shuttling home, or send your luggage home with us & ride to Lompoc or Santa Barbara to catch the train...


CalCoast09: Pacific Gardens Inn start & picnic lunch at Point Lobos

HIGHLIGHTS include:
Multiple support vehicles offering on-the-road snacks, luggage transfers to hotels, and rider support to anyone wishing to shorten their riding day and take a lift in the van. To ensure a first class, comfortable adventure, we have reserved THREE vehicles to support the tour:  7 & 12 passenger vans to support riders during the tour, with water, snacks and on-road assistance during the day as well as shuttle service if needed, along with a cargo truck that will handle the bicycle transport for those selecting this option as well as function as our luggage van during the tour.


CalCoast09: "Fleet" in San Francisco & SAG stop on fist Summit out of Big Sur

Seven nights of lodging at AAA Rated inns (double occupancy). We overnight in coastal resorts in excellent lodging, most within walking distance of major attractions and restaurants. We will be happy to pair you up with a suitable roommate. Single supplement will run an additional $400. 2 nights at Pacific Gardens Inn, 1 at Big Sur Lodge, 2 at Fireside in Cambria, 1 at Sand Castle in Pismo Beach & 1 at King Fredrick in Solvang.  

Continental Breakfasts will be offered every morning. Bagels, muffins, juices, tea, coffee, bananas and a variety of fruits will be available to get you started, in addition to the various breakfasts offered by the lodging.

On-the-Road Snacks will be available in the vans along the route.  Riders are on their own for lunch and dinner except for the first night pre-ride group dinner

Happy Hour Snacks will be offered each night in the hotel's common areas. We will also discuss the details of the next day's adventure.

WHY SO AFFORDABLE? We are volunteering as a way of raising support and involvement in our support of charities in Guatemala. Any & all of the profits we generate will go to our fund raising efforts.
