BIKE TRANSPORT: The tour will offer bicycle transport from Orange County for an additional charge. That will free you up to just take your carry-on by train, bus or plane & find your bike waiting in San Francisco. However, we may not be able to transport everyone's bicycle so this option will be closed once it fills up. Bikes will need to be at a home in Irvine, on April 30 to be loaded in a rental truck, and will be waiting for you in San Francisco for $50. Bikes will be loaded in Goleta/Santa Barbara and be driven back to OC on May 9th - to be picked up on Sunday, May 10th or later (by appointment) for a $30 fee ($80 both ways) We are asking for this fee up front with the deposit as we need to know who is interested to be able to rent the right sized truck... Be aware that while we are cyclists and will try to be careful with your bike, some scrapes'n'scratches are part of life on a bike tour and we will not be responsible for damage to your bicycle while in our care. It's always safest if it's in your hands.
April 29 & 30: Drop off Bikes to be Loaded The 24+ bikes will be collected in a Garage in Irvine We don't want to post the location on the web so if you lost the email instructions, email us Email Us! Drop off your bike between 4PM and 9PM on Wednesday April 29 or between 9AM and 2PM Thursday April 30th. If you want to leave a duffel with helmet, shoes, bulk of your gear for the tour... that should be fine, but keep your personal toiletries, meds & riding clothes for Saturday AM with you as you may not get back into the truck before Saturday AM when we unload it at Fort Mason... and label your bag. Pack light & soft; nothing too fragile as there will be a pile of gear! remove your pedals & front wheel & wrap your bike! BIKE TRANSPORT OPTION 25 Bikes North May 1st ~ OC>SF @ $50 21 In Truck
