1942
until May 1943 when he was transferred to Fort Lincoln, [Bismarck]
North Dakota,
where he spent the duration of the Second World War.

appears on page 3 of a list attached to an INS document which
reads:
"The following listed aliens were delivered at this station
at 8:30 a.m. May 9, 1943
by Captain David Napier, Escort Coomander from Stringtown, Oklahoma".
From December 7, 1941 through June 30, 1945, 201 German
Americans were
arrested by the FBI, 16 of whom were American citizens. Other
agencies
also made arrests, but those numbers are not yet available.
There may be some "un-American activities documents"
available
that have recently been released by the State of California.
