Carry your own snacks or cash for same; Plan to stop at a coffee house if you wish;
but the different routes may NOT all stop at the same place, so carry your own cash...
and if the long route even makes it to the BCI hosted food stop,
please drop a $5 donation there for the refreshments you consume.

It is more fun to ride with friends, so please plan to START as a groups at 9am,
Alow time to park, get your bike prepped & assemble for the 9am starting call.

We will open the parking area at 7:30 - have a sign in sheet & route sheets ready by 8:30
and start those ready to go at 9. If you start a bit later that will be fine too:
The rides will go out the same way down PCH... so we will start he long ride fiirst to clear the road,
wait a bit for the signals on Jamboree to clear, then start the Medium and then again start the Short ride.

Even the short ride will do a little bit of rolly hills; You will all go up Jambree to PCH,
head South, and peel inland on the routes.
All routes will eventually get to the San Diego Creek & follow the Back Bay Drive back to the start.

Leaving at 9 should give you time to get through Corona del Mar
& Laguna Beach before 10 or so..
and inland before the sun comes out.

By noon it will have burned off and can get really hot,
so be prepared with sun screen & make plenty of water stops!

When you get back to the start, plan to enjoy the day:
Pack some cold drinks, snacks or a picnic lunch if you are not going to be riding all day...
A change of clothes & shoes, jacket for later & lawn chair for after the ride is recommended.
Hang out and enjoy the Upper Bay Celebration and learning activities as you wait for the rest of your frinds to roll in...
If you are going out in a canoe or kayak, or just want to even out your biker tan,
you might want to bring a bathing suit & towel as well!
