Now under 'new management', in a blatantly commercial attempt to be 'inclusive' and 'tolerant' the common name has been relegated to one of several 'lounges' while the public hall takes on a merry look of every other pub in town - with the illusion of 'safety' and economic prosperity. Full of the temporary delusions of health & life... it makes one want to puke... The only good thing is that it brings more marks into our part of town, and recruits to our way of thinking.
Reality is more clear in the lounges. And none so palatable as this lounge... Inside are dangerous and vile characters... Some looking for adventure - some offering it - and others languishing in a stupor of various diseases and addictions...
The now absent owner inherited this establishment from his much loved mother upon her death. Her desiccated remains used to sprawl languidly upon her gently rocking chair, overseeing the bar, and rocked into motion every time a 'patron' entered the main hall's door... No magic or illusion - a dust covered twine tied to the door, tugged luridly at the corpse' dress, showing her assets to her customers just as it did when she was alive.
Very few 'patrons' looked
twice anymore...
Now that the Inn has turned 'respectable' she has been moved into our lounge, and the main hall is left for those with various issues to work out... one of these nights all hells gonna break loose in here & we'll show those stupid optimists what's what...
The public board still hangs in the main hall... where personal messages, offers of reward, as well as recruiting flyers are posted... from personal greetings to bounty on 'Tasick the Vile' to lost & missing children, any one of talent may make a fortune - or loose it all... You probably saw that on the way in.
Here guests usually just
leave
notes on the wall...

up here...
